Deciding on a wedding photographer can be a challenging part of the wedding planning process. There are many different styles of wedding photography to choose from, not to mention photographers! We recognize this and in an effort to make your life easier, we've outlined a few things to consider before choosing YOUR wedding photographer.
Is the photographer a full time wedding professional?
Our full time job (which we love!) since 2003 has been photographing weddings. We highly recommend considering a professional rather than 'Uncle Fred' or someone who has never, or captured very few weddings. The preparedness and know-how which comes from having captured hundreds of weddings can mean the difference between capturing or missing those precious special moments.
Does your photographer use professional photography equipment?
Our studio uses only top of the line Canon DSLR & film bodies and the highest grade L-series lenses. We keep redundant backups of each piece of hardware and won't miss a beat to equipment failure.
Would you happily spend the whole day with this person? Why hire someone to spend your entire wedding day with that you don't like?
Personality is a big bonus. We will always be upbeat and gracious and feel it's a testament that we're friends with many of our past clients.
Does your destination wedding photographer speak 5 languages?
That's not a requirement but it doesn't hurt! Speaking several languages give us a distinct edge when traveling to capture destination weddings worldwide. We speak Spanish, Italian, German, French, and of course, English fluently.
