Congratulations Colette & Luis! This beautiful power couple from DC was married on January 17th 2009 at Christian Central right here in Austin TX. Their classy reception was hosted on the ever verdant lawns of Green Pastures, a favorite wedding venue of mine. I am so excited for these two and can’t wait to hear what they’re up to next. Viva la Revolucion! | Martha & Bob

Martha & Bob have been married for 8 (is that right?!) years! To me they look like they just started dating, still have that sparkle in their eyes when they look at each other. We met up last Saturday at Pappasito’s Cantina here in Austin to commemorate the anniversary with queso and margarita’s. It was wicked, yes I did just say wicked, cold. That’s part of the reason we ended wrapped up in blankets hugging the closest space heater. In any case it was so much fun, the perfect excuse for me to take a break from my 2 1/2 year old and meet up with friends. We did our own interpretation of the classic American Gothic, Mexican Gothic (way cooler)! Thanks you guys!
And for you prospective brides out there, take note of Martha. She is an amazingly talented wedding & event coordinator with Your Very Own Fairy Godmother. She specializes in destination weddings and can pull off an international affair without a hitch. Be sure to give her a call if you’re planning a wedding somewhere fabulous!

Green Pastures Austin | Colette’s Bridal Session

Green Pastures is a refreshing departure from Austin’s urban environment with it’s shaded trees, multicolored peacocks and romantic Victorian atmosphere. We lucked out and got to capture Colette’s bridal on a December afternoon filled with beautiful soft light and distinctly warm Austin weather. Her gown was a gorgeous vintage styled piece with amazing beaded detail. I love the images we created because they relect her enthusiasm for her up and coming wedding.
