LOVED this photo shoot with Joanna and Sam! Seriously excited about their upcoming wedding. These cats are creative, and beautiful! And did I mention they have great taste? Especially in photography. My bliss is having clients who completely trust me to do what I do best and Joanna and Sam did just that. We played and played and took some pictures and then played some more. I love how much they love each other! Sweetness all around. And they’re gorgeous, enough already!

I love shooting at Laguna Gloria. It has so many beautiful nooks that I never run out of new options for fresh images. Amber and Chad are an amazingly beautiful couple, both inside and out! I feel so lucky to have them as my clients. Amber is Ashley’s big sis. Ashley is a bride of mine from last November who had a gorgeous back yard wedding at Amber’s house right here in Austin. Amber is going to have her wedding there too so stay tuned for another delightful wedding! Hurray!

Austin Capitol | Jen & Bryan

The Austin Capitol grounds are perfect for engagement photos! This was one of the first times I’d been out there and I have to say I was surprised at how many nice little spots there are to take pretty photos. A big part of why I liked it so much was my company. Jen & Bryan are a super sweet couple who totally blossomed in front of the camera. They are getting married in the fall and since a lot of their family will be coming in from out of town we thought it might be nice to show a little downtown austin flavor in the engagement photos. What a wonderful engagement session! Anne and John had suggested the San Antonio Botanical Gardens and to be perfectly honest I wasn’t expecting it to be so cool! A million times nicer than the Austin Botanical Gardens. With lots of plants still in bloom! Great choice. I highly recommend it for a romantic Sunday stroll. It was really hard for me to choose just a few images for this sneak peek. Thanks for a great session you guys, enjoy!

Bollywood Engagement, Austin TX | Jennifer & Peter

Jennifer & Peter have the sweetest story of how they fell in love. They’re both teachers here in Austin and one day, (Jenn’s first day teaching) they ran into each other in the hall. According to Peter, Jenn was wearing checkered pants, a sure sign that she was one cool chick! Jenn apparently thought Peter was pretty cool too because not long after their students started singing “Jenn & Peter sitting in a tree…”! The rest is history, these two are a perfect match for each other and it was a joy capturing these tender moments on their engagement session. Their upcoming wedding at Mercury Hall should be a Bollywood treat!

Rock and Roll Engagement | Ashley & Brandon

I love Ashley & Brandon, they were such a blast to hang out with and I would have kept shooting all night if they let me. I can’t wait for their upcoming November wedding. They’re big concert goers and told me they’re putting posters of the concerts they attended together up at their wedding. How cool is that! We went to Breakaway Records during their engagement ( Brandon spins) and picked up some souvenirs. I found Tea For the Tillerman which was one of my favorite albums growing up and Ashley & Brandon totally surprised me by getting if for me as a little thank you gift. What can I say, they rock! Spider House, Austin TX | Katy & Justin

Katy & Justin are a super sweet couple. They’re both brains and cuteness rolled into one and are such a good fit for each other. You can tell there’s a deep underlying friendship between these two that really binds them together. So watch out, ’cause these kids are going places! And I don’t just mean to Mexico for their wedding next year! We had a great time capturing their engagement session this weekend. Yes, I’m going to comment on the heat again, 105 degrees, come on! Does it ever quit in Texas? Thankfully Justin treated us girls to iced coffee and that helped us charge through the heat like champs. Plus it made me really chatty, sorry guys ! Anyways, after our caffeine infusion we cruised around Austin and checked out some new distressed/industrial feeling locations and after a little adventure in a thatch of bamboo we finished the session with a much needed nap. I know I say this alot in my posts but thank you guys for being such good sports, engagement sessions are hard work! Even for those Gap models out there

Laguna Gloria Engagement | Alie & Bobbi

Alie & Bobbi had a beautiful engagement session this past week out at Laguna Gloria, one of Austin’s prettiest locations for anything romantic. We had some fun with a few cheeky images of them painting each others portrait. Alie is quite l’artiste, showing Bobbi exactly how to hold the pose. Later we headed out to explore the grounds, I love how many nooks and crannies you can find at Laguna Gloria to take lovely photographs. The lighting was amazing and I could tell how in love these two are. Finally they each made a wish for their future together. Stay tuned for their wedding images coming this fall!

Robin’s Nest | Megan & Tai

Megan and Tai were married last weekend at a casually chic venue on lake Travis called Robin’s Nest, a fittingly romantic name for such a fun loving couple! The ceremony was held barefoot under lush greenery overlooking the lake. When it was all said and done everyone just wanted to jump in for a swim. I hope they did! Congratulations Megan & Tai!

SOCO Engagement | Colette & Luis

It was a 105 degrees (o.k. only 101) on Sunday when we ventured out bravely to capture some fun engagement photos of Colette & Luis on South Congress. I must have jinxed us because when I was discussing what to wear with Colette who at the time was in Ohio, I joked about bringing clothing that was appropriate for 101 degree weather. Yikes! I should have known better! Despite the heat we had a great time, hiking all over town to capture some truly great images. Enjoy!
